Home and Away superstar, Dieter Brummer, who played the beloved character of Shane Parrish was found dead at his home in Sydney. The Australian actor joined the forged in 1992 and was once easiest recognized for his onscreen romance with Angel, performed via Melissa George.
Brummer went on to win the Most Popular Actor award in the Logies for his efficiency two years in a row. After he left the cleaning soap opera, Brummer acted on the television presentations, Shark Bay, Underbelly, and the revival soap, Neighbours.
His acting profession declined in later years. At one point, he took up a task as a high-rise window cleaner, saying in an interview with TV Tonight: “It was a pretty intense time coming out of high school to receive all this fame and adulation. As nice because it was I sought after to end up to myself I may just get my arms dirty and sweat for a buck as simply as standing round on set, being primped and preened. People say that I’m just a window cleaner; actually it’s substantially extra concerned than that … a relatively specialist industry.”

In a statement on Monday, Brummer’s family mentioned: “We misplaced our handsome, talented, humorous, complicated and liked Dieter on Saturday morning. He has left a large hole in our lives and our global will never be the identical. Our thoughts go out to all of you who knew him, loved him, or worked with him over the years. We recognize you respecting our privateness at this terrible time.”
