It's been seven years since ABC thriller 'Revenge' aired its series finale after so many jaw-dropping twists and turns.

The collection, loosely inspired dy Alexandre Dumas' 'The Count of Monte Cristo' stars MCU's Emily VanCamp as protagonist Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke, returning to the Hamptons to actual her revenge on those that have wronged her and her father, framed for a criminal offense he hadn't committed.

Alongside VanCamp and her antagonist Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe), the display also featured '13 Going on 30' star Christa B. Allen in the role of Victoria's daughter Charlotte. "I'm different from her in the way that I grew up in a completely different environment so all of that has been sort of a learning experience for me," she said of diving into the position for the display.

6 It Was Emotionally Taxing To Work On Such A Dramatic Show Like 'Revenge'

As enthusiasts recall, 'Revenge' would drop a bombshell after any other, seeing its central characters doing unspeakable things to one another.

Unsurprisingly, that side of the display may just take a toll on actors, as Allen showed in Q&A with lovers published in 2019.

!It will also be really tough when you are taking pictures a TV show because you're working occasionally 5 days every week, doing press and media stuff on the weekends," she said.

"People are talking about it anytime you’re no longer at work, you're interacting with fans and all of that… you never actually go away work and, as a result of this particular display had any such dark storyline with other folks being really merciless to one another, I did find it actually difficult," she then admitted.

Allen added: "Though I wasn't for my part going thru the entirety that Charlotte went thru, there's something about the physiology of constructing those emotions inside your self to portray them on display that I feel does take a toll on you."

5 Allen On The Relationships With Madeleine Stowe And The Rest Of The 'Revenge' Cast

Prior to the virtual reunion drama, Allen revealed she and her 'Revenge' co-stars bump into each other at least "a few times a 12 months". However, it doesn't seem that she got along with everyone equally.

While she had words of praise for Madeleine Stowe — Allen described her onscreen mom in three words: "Goddess. Poised. Passionate." — she admitted to not being best friends with everyone on the cast.

"I might say relationships amongst the solid are like any working atmosphere," she said, adding: "Some of you are amazing and best friends and some of you do not actually discuss and that's the reason nice."

"It's just a workplace and everybody's dating is other."

Allen also opened up on the relationships among cast members changing compared to season one.

"Season one, it was like, incredible, all the time. Everyone was circle of relatives and, you understand, the whole thing was nice. By season four, issues had modified," she said with a smile.

She also revealed Ashley Madekwe (Ashley Davenport on the show) is the co-star she has hung out with the most outside of work.

4 The Funniest Moment On The 'Revenge' Set According To Christa B. Allen

In the same Q&A, Allen shared her fondest memories from set, recalling a particularly funny incident involving notorious prankster Josh Bowman, who played Charlotte's brother Daniel on the show.

This particular incident was a retaliation against Bowman, who was known for pulling pranks on his co-stars.

"There was one time... I think it was against the tip of the fourth season, and I consider his personality was once golfing [...] and his character was once like, hitting a golf ball and someone replaced his golf ball with an exploding golf ball so when he hit it, it exploded like this mud far and wide," Allen said.

"It was once truly fun."

3 Christa B. Allen Got Cast In 'Revenge' In A Very Unusual Way

Allen looked back on getting the role of Charlotte when she was 19, calling her audition process "the craziest tale".

"It was once pilot season, I was shooting a film and I had sooner or later off from this film through which I went to 3 pilot auditions, 'Revenge' being one of them. I loved the script, however I used to be exhausted, I bear in mind taking a snooze in my car ahead of the audition because I was identical to, spent from this other set that I used to be on," Allen said.

"I need in and I have in mind having a really good audition," she said, before explaining: "Typically, with pilot casting, you would return for minimal three or four auditions. And this one, I went and I read on tape and they sent my tape to the manufacturers and then I guess they sent that tape on to network and studio because I didn't return, I did not check."

"I booked it from that one audition and I'm actually thankful that it happened that approach."

2 'Revenge' Deserves A Spin-Off, Says Christa B. Allen

Allen has sided with many fans of 'Revenge' who want more after the show ended in 2015.

"I feel it is too late to return and do a fifth season, however I feel ['Revenge'] merits a reboot of a few type, wether that is a spin-off series or a film," she said in the Q&A.

"I'm telling you, the demand for it's large," she added.

In January 2021, Allen reacted to the news that four of his 'Revenge' co-stars — VanCamp, Bowman, Nick Wechsler (Jack Porter), and Barry Sloane (Aiden Mathis) — had been invited to a virtual reunion whose proceeds would go to charity.

The actress addressed the incident on her Instagram, revealing she hadn't been invited "as in line with standard".

When someone wrote in the comments, "Maybe that perspective is the reason why you weren't invited," Allen referred to not being asked as "bullying".

"@honneymxn if standing as much as bullying is improper, I don't wish to be right," she replied.

The organizer of the event later explained they could only accommodate four actors due to technical limitations, extending the invite to Allen and the rest of the cast as they moved to another platform for the reunion.

In the wake of the backlash Allen received over her reaction, her co-star Stowe wrote an Instagram post to praise her.

"I'd like 'Revenge' enthusiasts (and everybody else) to grasp probably the most ways I do know @christaallen. She has a work ethic that I marveled at every single day she got here to set," Stowe wrote.

"I saw her endure some issues at 18 years of age that might bring a weaker individual to their knees, however she has such inside dignity that she gracefully saved moving."
